A Love Like This: My Grandmother

There will be a day when I won’t have her around. I know this, though it’ll still be hard to accept when that day comes. There are way too many memories that fill my heart, of her laughter, of her voice and of her sly smile. But one of the ways that I know will stay embedded in my mind for as long as I remember is of her sitting behind her sewing machine, embroidering another heirloom we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives.

I hope that my kids will treasure these pictures of her, just as I’ll always remember her.

Love, e

Abby Grace - I adore this. I just spent a few days with my grandmother learning to sew on her sewing machine (I think it’s the exact same kind- a Singer!) and I treasured that time with her. These are just beautiful.

Kristin - Fantastic images! I love the details, the lighting, the grain of the film, and the portrait behind the sewing machine is wonderful! Heirloom family images for sure!

wendy - I like this peek into her world. the doorway shot is my favorite. Love the framing. you are so lucky to have these shots and her. :)

Barry Phipps - Lovely. I enjoy the telling of the story through the details. Great!

Nikki Martinez - oh these are so so lovely;)

Leslie - E! What amazing pictures..it’s funny I came across this today as I was just telling my cousin last night on the pourch how much I love my grandmother and just the thought of her having to leave me one day takes my every feeling, breath and emotion away….thank you for sharing your beautiful grandmother :)

Isa - Nothing more beautiful than una abuela and you captured it.
