When I first told Mike about my new obsession, Pinterest, he kept calling it Pinsperation. I think I like that name better. Either way, Pinterest is a virtual bulletin board of things that are scattered in the wonderful world known as The Internet. You can use it as a placeholder for things you want to do/see/experience or just stuff that moves you. It took me until recently to get on this thing even though my friends had been bugging me for a while. It wasn’t until one of my clients sent me a link to her “engagement session” board that I saw Pinteret’s amazingness. She used it to communicate the look and feel her and her fiance were going for.
If you ever look at my work space, you’ll always find things pinned up. Most of the time it’s stuff that has nothing to do with work and more to do with making me laugh or smile. Those are the types of things that inspire me. Pinterest is like an online version of my wall, with far less holes. It’s also a great way to get ideas for things. A lot of what I’m doing in my new place, I found through Pinterest.
