We are home. We are recovering. We have been forced to hit the ground running. Still, I want to share a little, vale?
Our trip to Spain felt like it was divided in two. The first part, in Madrid, was filled with newness and wonder. We were the tourists exploring a vibrant city with it’s history and character. The second part felt like coming home. There is really no way to explain it. It was this feeling of welcoming that, though you never had been there, somehow you’d found your way home. A home you never knew existed. We were welcomed by strangers as if we had been woven into their fabric from the very beginning.
I’m sitting on the plane, writing this and the page blurs with the tears that swell when I think about it. This trip, in a way, was life changing, eye-opening, overwhelming in the wonderful way that fills you from the core and you know you’ll never be the same. I strive to have experiences like this every day of my life, particularly behind my camera. But somehow, I know that these pictures, these moments we have been able to capture are going to be the best we have ever taken. You could say it was the general splendor of the place we were in, but from the moment we stepped off that train in Caceres, we were family. And that made all the difference.
Every guest was surrounded by Anthony and Nuria’s love for each other. It was seen in all the planning and work. It was felt in every detail. My beautiful Nuria trusted me with far more than her pictures and made me feel so honored. I have a connection with all of my brides, but there is a special place in my heart for her.
Words can’t express how grateful Mike and I are for this experience. We just hope the pictures do it justice (and boy are there a lot of pictures). Here is a slightly larger than normal sneak peek. Just because I could not help myself.

Mike shot this picture that I know will make Nuria happy…
