Away We Go: Disney World!

In light of my return from my self-imposed blogging/internet moratorium I decided to start with some fun stuff Mike and I have been up to. These two weeks have been insane but school is out for the summer (!) and we’re back to our regularly scheduled programming.

~

I’m starting a new series here on my blogosphere in light of all the traveling we will be doing this summer. I’m calling it “Away We Go” because I love that movie and it fits. We begin with our Memorial weekend trip to Disney World to celebrate my birthday. We drove up on a Saturday and went right to the Magic Kingdom. Then we went to Hollywood Studios when it started to pour. We experienced Epcot under rain, in ponchos with wet shoes. Needless to say, I hate Epcot. I’m alright if I don’t return for another decade. I don’t know if it was all the walking or the rain or what, but that night I passed out. I don’t think I’ve ever been as sore. The next day we went outlet shopping, walked out of a restaurant because the service was horrible and went to IKEA. Good times.

I used my awesome-so-fun-it’s-sick FujiFilm Instax mini. Buy one! Here are some of the pictures we took:

On the road…way too early.

First up, Space Mountain.

A word about that hat–I wanted to get that hat. How bad ass?! And that bird was crazy! He kept swooping low. I’m surprised no one got hit by him or his poo.

Meeting ghosts at The Haunted Mansion.

Waiting in the worst line ever to ride Splash Mountain. Ok, maybe not he worst line ever. I remember the line for gas after one hurricane being particularly miserable but this one still sucks.

I like these two pictures. They make me happy.

I love my new car but I want to own a vintage car one day. Hopefully a 1969 Chevelle or a 1965 Mustang. I certainly would not mind any of the awesome ones that they have at Hollwood Studios. I like our reflection picture in the last one on the right.

We were relegated to taking pictures of our reflections.

Mike looks like a stalker here. Ha.

Probably the only decent picture I have of myself since my wedding.

Apparently, Mike is not a fan of chicken hanging from the ceiling.

If you ever want to know how many freckles I have, see the picture below. And please ignore my hideous eyebrows. I’ll be fixing that situation soon.

And so the rain begins…

…might as well sit back and enjoy the show of people trying to make a run for it.

I am beyond pumped for the rest of this summer’s travels. Our itinerary:

Next weekend – New York

July – Sanibel & New Hampshire

August – Spain

Rock. Star.

Love, e
