- I always joke that the best form of birth control is to teach teenagers. It makes you think twice. Little infants eventually become one of them. My biological clock is on a rollercoaster ride. One minute I’m taking pictures of little cute babies wearing flip-flops (flip-flops!!!) and the next I’m yelling at a kid from across the room. I’m all for having kids right now then I’m suddenly scared straight. Sometimes, though, I stop and think how I have a lot of wonderful students that turned out spectacularly. If I’m good, I might get one like them.
- We are now in what I like to call Defcon Five. Two weeks left of school and it’s every man for himself. I might survive, I might not.
- I got the new Fujifilm Instax Mini 7S with the birthday money my parents gave me. It is awesome. Look how cute:

It takes mini instant photos. Classic. I’ve got three packs of film for Disney.
- We head to Disney on Saturday. I can’t wait. Disney! I feel like a kid but I’ve been wanting to go for a while now. We are going to park hop and take tons of pictures. I’m just excited to go somewhere with Mike. I won’t lie, though, Roller coasters are a plus, too.
- The oil spill in the gulf is getting worse and worse. I just saw pictures and starting crying. The plug attempt on Wednesday better work. Check out the latest devastating pictures HERE.
- Actually, while you are looking at those pictures, you might as well check out the whole blog. The Big Picture is “news stories in photographs.” You can imagine what I think about it…awesome! The pictures are amazing.
- I got an itunes gift certificate from my sister-in-law as a birthday present and finally got the chance to buy some music. This song is just perfection. Fleet Foxes – Mykonos
- I didn’t buy this recently, but this song is great. Listen. Let it rock your world. The Knife – Heartbeats
- Allow me to be a total geek now. Ok, ready? The other day I was listening to NPR’s All Things Considered when they did their segment called All Songs Considered. They interviewed a jazz violinist by the name of Regina Carter who released an album called Reverse Thread–her interpretations of African folk songs. At first I was like, “Huh?” but felt I should at least consider the songs in light of the All Songs Considered title. I was immediately blown away by the instrumentation and the feelings in the music. I have a love affair with the violin so she pretty much had me there. I can wax poetic about the music or just link to her interview on NPR Music HERE and embed a song on my site. This one is called N’Teri. BTW, the instrument that the man is playing is called a kora.
- And one more thing…a baby wearing flip-flops!

P.S: I know those little cute feet

Yincent LaGuardia Gambini - Well, I hate to bring it up because I know you’ve got enough pressure on you already. But, we agreed to get married as soon as you won your first case. Meanwhile, ten years later, my niece, the daughter of my sister is getting married. My biological clock is (::STOMP STOMP STOMP::) ticking like this, and the way this case is going, I ain’t never getting married!
Scott - Is that really a video of people playing the violin, an accordian and a kora (?) in a BOOKSTORE? I feel like I should put on skinny jeans, a vintage t-shirt and a scarf while listening to that. (Side note: the music is actually good).
