I know now that we’re married, we’re not supposed to celebrate our old anniversary. But I’m not tossing all those years out the window. Today marks ten years that Mike and I have been together. I was 17 when I met him and living in another state. And in college, for that matter. 10 years, a wedding, two graduations, countless of jobs and two apartments later, here we are. I doubt that we’re going to do anything special today beyond our regular Thursday Date Night. Watch some Office, cuddle and call it a night. I will, however, say some nice things about my one. Mainly that he’s awesome. Punto y aparte (that means period, end of sentence for you non-spanish folk).
I took this picture during, ironically enough, the session I’ll be posting later today. I snapped it for this very occasion.

I keep reading from this one photographer I particularly admire that you should make time for personal pictures. Taking pictures for just yourself keeps the joy in the job, keeps you inspired and fresh. I was looking through my personal pictures and realized that I take pictures of two things aside from portraits and weddings: the sky and Mike. He’s my favorite subject, I won’t lie. I could fill up this whole blog with pictures of him, but I won’t. I’ll just post one picture, taken with my old silver Kodak point and shoot. Taken from the inside of the car in New Hampshire while Mike surfed in the back. It’s not the best picture in the world but it pretty much sums up why I love this man with all my heart.
Live, love, laugh, indeed.
