Music is a big deal to me. Seriously, it’s a problem. I love it that people always say, when asked what type of music they listen to, “oh, I listen to everything.” Bull crap. You need to be more specific. I listen to music that sweeps me off my feet. That makes me feel. And see. And experience.
I edit pictures to the tune of these sweeping songs that Pandora knows to send me. Now, more than ever, my ear is tuned for anything new. Maybe I can use it in one of my slideshows. It’s a bit an honor, really, to be able to set the soundtrack for a moment in a person’s life.
When I sent my friend Lissette the slideshow for her wedding, she called me crying. “You captured it all, E,” she said. I’ll never forget that moment for the rest of my life. It was my first reaction. The first bride to call me back, thrilled. I have to admit that I think the music played a big roll in her reaction and in how she saw those pictures. Even my best good friend Scott, who does not cry and is a dude through and through, admitted to being slightly moved by the first song and sequence of pictures. Slightly. He’ll probably deny it now ;0)
So here goes, the wedding that started it all for me. The one I’ve talked about but never included in this blog. The wedding I think of whenever I hear these songs:
I hope you enjoy the music, just as much as the pictures.
Love, e
