Family Portrait Session: Leslie, Jorge & Co.

A few weeks ago Mike and I drove the 10 minutes to Key Biscayne for a family portrait session. While we waited, we encountered various critters as detailed in this post. Though it was a bit traumatic, all was forgotten the moment I got a look at these gorgeous kids. Leslie, Jorge and their little kid company of four (with one more on the way!) burst out of the SUV eager to take pictures and have some fun on the shores of Biscayne Bay. It was our first experience shooting a family this big with kids of all ages. I won’t lie, I was sweatin’ through the shoot worried that I’d be able to capture the spirit of the afternoon and of this family. I’m happy to say that we did.

This shoot, more than any so far, was a team effort. I could not have found a better second shooter, business partner, champion in Mike.

Here are just a few of my favorites. I’m in love with them all.

My absolute favorite of Jorge and Leslie. Such genuine affection.

Can I gush some more about how amazing my husband is? Check out these beautiful pictures he took. And that’s with four kids hanging on him, borrowing the camera. He was part babysitter (while I took pictures of the parents) and part photographer that day.

Thank you Leslie and Jorge for letting us take pictures of your beautiful family. It was truly a blessing. I only hope we captured even a fraction of the love you both have for one another and for your kids.
